Devereux Florida provides programs and services for children and adolescents in the child welfare and foster care system. Based out of Tampa FL this position is responsible for recruitment and initial licensure and re-licensure of foster homes visiting foster homes and providing training and support to foster parents.
Position Details:
Salary:Starts at $24.04 - 28.23 / hr (rate is based on education and relevant experience)
Schedule: Full-Time; community based position-works around families schedules.
Coverage Responsiblity: Polk Manatee/Sarasota Hillsborough Pasco Pinellas Hernando counties

Qualifications
Education:
- Bachelors degree in Social Services or related field required
Experience:
- Two years experience working with foster families preferred.
- Prior foster home licensing experience a plus
Other Requirements:
- Certification as a Child Welfare Licensing Counselor by the Florida Certification Board OR must be provisionally certified with completion of PRIDE trainingrequired
- Valid FL drivers licenserequired
- Must be able to attend a 3-day new hire orientation class from 9:00am - 5:00pm ET
- Successfully pass pre-employment medical screenings which include: Drug Screen and TB Test.
- Significant amounts of walking sitting and standing. Some lifting and/or managing resistance required related to applying physical intervention techniques upwards of 75-100 lbs. or more. Some repetitive wrist/hand movements normal hearing and vision.
