Position Summary
INDIANA UNIVERSITY ROBERT H. MCKINNEY SCHOOL OF LAW invites applications from entry-level and lateral candidates for up to two full-time tenured or tenure-track faculty positions to begin at the start of the 2026-27 academic year. Duties include teaching scholarship and service. New hires will teach one or more required 1L course(s) and/or one or more core upper-level course(s). A successful candidate might expect to teach two or more of Contracts Torts Civil Procedure and Introduction to Business Entities as part of a four-course teaching package. Applicants must hold a J.D. or equivalent degree with a record of academic excellence. We seek candidates with potential for or a record of innovative scholarship and engaged teaching. A recent scholarly publication or substantial work in progress is expected to evince scholarly aptitude and commitment. Prior practice experience is a plus.
