Description and Functions
Open Until FilledESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS: The listed functions are illustrative only and are not intended to describe every function that may be performed in the job level.
GENERAL DESCRIPTION:
The Wyoming Game and Fish Department is seeking to hire a three (3) month position that will assist with fish culture duties spawning activities facility maintenance and grounds keeping at the Wyoming Game and Fish Departments Tillett Springs Rearing Station.
Human Resource Contact: Dezzaree Schott /- Duties will include but not be limited to daily fish culture routines (tank cleaning & feeding) fish distribution and stocking taking sample counts and completing fish inventories.
- Assisting with Kokanee Salmon spawning operations and possibly other species which will include Brown Brook and Lake Trout.
- Duties will also include work to maintain the facility grounds equipment and buildings.
Qualifications
PREFERENCES/**AGENCY REQUIREMENTS:
Preference may be given to those with the equivalent of a high school diploma and to those who attach a resume with their on-line state application.
**Agency requires that the successful applicant possess a valid drivers license.
KNOWLEDGE:- Ability and knowledge of grounds care (mowing & trimming) small engine maintenance and operation operating 4WD vehicles painting and use of various small tools.

PHYSICAL WORKING CONDITIONS:
- This position requires working in a variety of environmental conditions using a variety of tools and equipment and some occasional lifting may be required.
NOTES:
- FLSA: Non-Exempt
- Successful applicants for employment must pass a background check before appointment.
- The position will run from September 2 2025 to November 26 2025.
- Housing is provided at no charge to the employee.
- Applicants should be interested in and pursuing a career in fisheries wildlife or resource management.
- No previous fish culture experience is required.
