The West Virginia Veterans Home a welcoming residence dedicated to serving honorably discharged veterans is seeking a full-time Housekeeper. This position operates Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 4 PM. At the West Virginia Veterans Home you will join a dedicated team that values and respects the well-being of our veterans. Our home provides a comfortable and supportive environment for independent veterans and we are committed to maintaining a clean and pleasant living space for them.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sweep and mop hallways / rooms
- Clean tables chairs and other furniture
- Move furniture as needed
- Wash beds and furniture
- Gather and dispose of trash
- Clean and restock bathrooms
- Operate housekeeping equipment such as sweepers buffers and floor scrubbers
- Oversee resident workers in housekeeping duties
Requirements:
- Ability to work well with others and as part of a team
- Capability to move items weighing up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to bend and stoop
- Willingness to perform other duties as required

Minimum Qualifications
Training: Ability to pass a written test at the eighth grade level.
