The Auxiliary Services Assistant (AA) serves as an integral member of the Auxiliary Services team Under the direction of the Assitant Director of Auxiliary Services and Conferencing. The Auxiliary Services assistant manages the day-to-day operations of an assigned functional area within the Auxiliary Services department. This position will require knowledge or the willingness to learn budgeting marketing and business support of the assigned functional area the Auxiliary Services assistant participates in the development recommendation and administration of operational policies procedures and processes. This position also requires the assistant to respond to inquiries from college departments the community and/or external agencies. General operation of the department of Auxiliaries consists of the college bookstore (Ruskin and Erie) the Knight Club and conferencing on-campus. The AA must also be able to support and promote the Universitys inclusive Mission its Catholic identity its diverse student population and its academic programming in the liberal arts and professional education. As a leader within the department of Auxiliary Services the AA should be able to encourage the staff to grow in both their personal and professional via learned leadership.
Physical Demands
Must be able to lift 50lbs and traverse campus.
Required Qualifications
Applicants must be enrolled as a full-time student at Gannon University during the regular academic year Have and maintain a semester GPA of 2.50. Failure to do so will result in departmental academic probation and/or termination of employment Must work at least 20 hours per two (2) week pay period but may not work in excess of 20 per (1) week Must have a conduct history clear of major policy violations at the time of hiring Must remain in good standing with the University conduct system throughout term of employment Must uphold and be publicly supportive of the Gannon University Institutional Policy Manual Demonstrate the willingness to accept supervision and constructive feedback along with the ability to follow directions work under pressure and work as a team toward a common goal Demonstrate excellent public relations and customer service skills
