The Job:

As a Strategic Insights Associate Manager youll be part of our Strategy & Insights team working on global activation efforts with a primary emphasis on Europe and a secondary focus on Asia and Latin America. This role is based in Towson MD Valley City OH or New Britain CT in the office on Tuesday Wednesday and Thursday. Youll get to:

• Drive Channel & Customer business growth through shopper insights with a primary focus on Gaining Share in the European Market
• Acquire and synthesize insights from various sources of data (e.g. sales data shopper panels primary research ethnographic research shop-alongs)
• Create data-based recommendations for driving share growth in focus European countries and customers
• Advance Insights to Influence point-of-sale optimization strategies and shopper experiences to gain share with the Professional and DIY Shoppers
• Gather insights on shopping behaviors including points of value and pain points to positively influence in-store and online shopping experiences
• Work with internal stakeholders to identify sales communication strategies in-store and online
• Assess market macro-economic drivers Professional Contractor trends and market share drivers to optimize Marketing & Commercial strategies
• Utilize primary & secondary research to understand current or upcoming trends and provide recommendations for growth
• Monitor market and E-commerce trends and competitive dynamics.
• Acquire interpret and socialize market share data and insights

The Person:

• Bachelors Degree in Business Statistics Economics Research Marketing or related field
• Masters Degree a plus
• Prefer professional experience in Consumer Insights or Market Research with hands-on experience in quantitative and qualitative research
• Brand or Marketing or Sales and/or Marketing Strategy experience a plus
• Proactive with strong interpersonal skills and experience working in a complex matrixed organization
• Thrives in agile environment willing to learn and leverage/create new solutions to answer business questions.
• Experience with panel or syndicated data preferred but not required
• Experience analyzing and interpreting sales and market share data
• Experience in primary and secondary research
• Strong data analysis skills ability to derive data-based recommendations
• Ability to connect the dots and drive toward bigger-picture insights
• Ability to show complex information in a simple visual way that drives understanding
• Synthesize a large amount of data and craft a clear concise story to sell business solutions
• Comfort communicating or presenting at different levels of the organization.
• Travel expectation 15%

The base pay range for this position in Maryland is $per year. Pay is based on market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. A sign-on payment may be provided as part of the compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits dependent on the position offered.
