Please note: This recruitment may be used to fill multiple vacancies.Performs oversees and/or schedules and coordinates the scheduling and work assignments of all cleaning and other assigned work activities of the custodial staff including work orders; requests for furniture equipment and office moves;
Ensures staff coverage from 4:30 am to 1:30 am for their housekeeping team;
Special projects and snow removal when requested.
The position requires the driving of State vehicles from agency to agency for which we provide services
Councils and provides employees with supervision feedback advice and training.
Provide employees with guidance in handling difficult or complex problems or in resolving escalated complaints or disputes.
Conducts performance plans reviews and appraisal meetings; departmental orientation to newly hired employees; approval of all leave and other situations/duties requiring supervisory input and//or authorization.
Conducts daily weekly and/or monthly walk-through of all assigned areas as scheduled to check work performance and conditions of areas and to conduct both visual and written quality control and other types of inspections as needed.
Monitor compliance with departmental infection control practices safety and hazardous materials standards and requirements.
Performs or assist with cleaning duties as needed
Keeps records and maintains various documents reports timekeeping payroll performance plans departmental plans policies and procedures. All to be completed and/or submitted on schedule and/or in a timely manner as required in order to adhere to policies and to support the operations of the department and agency.
Responsible for requesting warehouse and non-warehouse items stocking and issuing of custodial supplies and equipment;
Maintain adequate inventories equipment upkeep including keeping accurate records and reports of supplies and equipment used in each area.
Ensure spending is within allotted funding.
Attends participates conducts and performs related assignments for meetings conferences workshops and training sessions with departmental CDHS staff and other agencies divisions and outside contact personnel.
Perform other duties as assigned.
This is a full-time in-person essential position. Shift work may be required. Must be available for and respond to call backs to perform essential and/or emergency services of the agency in a timely manner.
Essential Positions. Positions that perform essential law enforcement highway maintenance and other support services directly necessary for the health safety and welfare of patients residents and inmates of state institutions or state facilities. Employees in essential positions can be only FLSA non exempt and can be required to work unexpected or unusual work hours to perform the essential and/or emergency services of the department without delay and/or without interruption.
Call Back applies when an eligible employee is required to report to work before the start or after the end of a scheduled shift.
Experience supervising a team;
Computer experience to include working with MS Office Google Suites Adobe etc.
Experience managing a budget;
Extensive experience performing and/or leading custodial housekeeping or environmental services in a large campus/health care environment
Experience working with the mental health and/or locked adolescent population;
Experience managing chemical supplies and distribution;
Experience working with Joint Commission or other regulatory standards.
Time Management Maintain a set schedule to finish cleaning maintenance and other tasks to meet facility needs.
Cleaning and sanitation - Follow set cleaning procedures for various facilities; knowledge of project floor work such as buffing and waxing; maintains cleaning supplies inventory and orders new supplies appropriately.
Attention to Detail Identify and report problematic areas within facilities and clean facilities thoroughly.
Physical Requirements - Able to scrub surfaces move furniture shovel snow and dispose of waste.
Maintenance - Identify maintenance issues and conduct minor equipment maintenance.
Safety Understand how to use cleaners and equipment safely and knowledge of how to dispose of biohazard waste appropriately.
Adaptability Adapt to scheduling needs and changing programs; respond to different daily cleaning needs appropriately.

Felony convictions conviction of crimes of moral turpitude or convictions of misdemeanors related to job duties may disqualify you from being considered for this position. Must be willing to submit and pass a full background check.
Must possess and maintain a valid non-restricted Colorado Drivers License
Travel This position will be required to drive State Vehicles as part of daily work assignment from site to site equipped with tools and machinery to perform the maintenance and repair of the facilities. May be required to travel to training and meetings.
Must be willing to receive an annual influenza vaccination or provide a document for a medical exemption or a letter for religious exemption.
Must successfully pass a Tuberculosis (TB) test.
Must be available for call back to perform essential and/or emergency services.
Must be available for shift work to ensure coverage from 1:30 am through 4:30 am.
