Sprinkler Coordinator
FT M-F 8am-5pm
Elgin IL
The Sprinkler Fire Coordinator is an integral member of the Sprinkler department at Fox Valley Fire and Safety Co. This is an office role based in our Elgin location. The Sprinkler Coordinator helps schedule our Fire Sprinkler Technicians to align to the appointment needs of our customers. They may also assist with other department administrative tasks such as processing and entering data on the computer completing paperwork communicating with internal staff and our customers.
Job Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and schedule tests and service appointments effectively and efficiently for optimum completion with reduction in travel and down time daily.
- Uses phone and email throughout the day to coordinate all activities as well as online scheduling portals.
- Processing of permit applications submit check requests for permits and submit test fees for many AHJs.
- Backfill routes with sprinkler inspections when open windows in schedule present.
- Send notifications to AHJ 48 hours in advance.
- Confer with customers or supervising personnel to address questions problems and requests for service or equipment.
- Relay work orders messages and information to and from work crews supervisors and field inspectors using telephones or tablets.
- Record and maintain files and records of customer requests work or services performed changes expenses and other dispatch information.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
- 1-3 years previous scheduling / dispatching experience required
- Must be comfortable with heavy phone interaction
- Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment
- Must be punctual and have consistent attendance
- Must have a desire to learn about the fire protection industry
- Must deliver excellent customer service
- Must have integrity that aligns with Fox Valley Fire & Safetys company values
- HSD or equivalent is required
