Lieutenants also receive bi-annual payments of $1200 ($2400 annually) for uniforms and special safety equipment a take home vehicle and this position is non-exempt and is eligible for overtime.

Candidates who are working towards their bachelors degree may apply for Police Lieutenant. To qualify you must be able to document the completion of at least 100 credit hours and have an expected degree completion date within 12 months.

Supervises a major unit or section of a division of the Police Department and serves as a Shift Commander. Works under the general direction of a Police Commander or equivalent civilian manager.Minimum Qualifications/Special Requirements/Success Factors:
Bachelors degree in criminal justice public administration management or a related field and two years experience as a Police Sergeant.
Knowledge of:
