We are currently seeking a full- time Accounts Payable Specialist tojoin our Corporate Accounting team.
The Accounts Payable Specialist (Corporate) is responsible for providing the clerical support necessary to pay the obligations of the organization to include performing any combination of routine calculating posting and verifying duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounts payable records. This professional clarifies any questionable invoice items prices or receiving signatures and obtains proper information and/or approvals prior to processing invoice payments.
Essential Duties:
Accurately reviewing coding and processing vendor invoices expense reports and check requests according to company and accounting policies
Performing data entry associated with accounts payable
Posting invoices into the computer system
Matching checks to invoices ensuring that necessary approvals are present
Reviewing and reconciling invoice discrepancies
Auditing and processing credit card bills
Addressing and responding to vendor inquiries
Performing monthly reconciliations
Maintaining a large number of vendor accounts while staying in compliance with company policies and procedures
Performing general clerical duties to include filing mailing copying creating folders alphabetizing invoices and expense reports
Entering new vendors in the system and ensuring there is a W9 on file
Performing other related duties tasks as assigned
High school diploma or GED equivalent required
Associates degree in accounting from an accredited program preferred
3-5 years of experience with accounts payable or general accounting
Solomon Dynamics experience preferred but not required
Proficient Microsoft Office knowledge and skills
Strong time management and organizational skills
Knowledge of basic accounting principles
High degree of attention to detail
Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks
Strong analytic abilities
