This position is a key member of the Procurement team responsible for assisting in the development and execution of processes to support data-driven strategic decisions for the in the review preparation and presentation of financial data across all North America fascias within the JD Group which supports the sourcing process from identifying potential opportunities communicating strategy executing effecting sourcing efforts selecting of vendors and ensuring financial benefits are fully realized in company budgets. Responsible for regular consistent and accurate analyses and reporting that identify risks and in the review and organization of overall department projects workload and initiatives. They provide direction and oversight to direct reports. This individual should effectively exhibit JD Finish Lines core values of Customer People Winning Community and Financial Responsibility in everything they do by performing the following key duties:
Act as procurement the expert on spend and savings data. Identify opportunities to target for future savings.
Accountable for the preparation and presentation of monthly and quarterly financial and workload reporting analysis and projection activities.
Key partner responsible for updating monitoring and reporting on progress against the procurement long-term year financial plan.
Partner with the larger Procurement team to ensure the financial impact of each option within each sourcing effort is clearly understood and summarized for easy communication. Layout clear before and after costs of each engagement. When savings expectations are not met for specific areas or projects conduct root cause analysis with business area.
Partner with finance to ensure savings from agreements flows into the correct budget line items in the current fiscal year and for the upcoming budget year.
Create high quality presentations for the Procurement team with various audiences in mind.
Compliment and develop the analytic skills of the North America procurement team.
Manage the procurement Jira board.
Provide coaching direction and development to direct reports and others on the procurement team.
Develop templates that ensure accurate understanding of total cost of ownership and the financial impacts of vendor offers.
Presents financial plans and projections to senior management.
Manages ad hoc projects to provide financial analysis support as needed. Also manage ad hoc sourcing efforts as needed.
Participates in cross-functional efforts within Finance to improve reporting planning and analysis capabilities.
Additional duties and projects as required.
Required Education and/or Experience:
Bachelors degree in Accounting or Finance with MBA preferred. At least 4 - 6 years of relevant work experience in Financial Planning and Analysis. Able to manage effectively in a complex fast-paced environment with a high sense of urgency.
Required Computer and/or Technical Skills:
Should have advanced knowledge and abilities with Microsoft Office and Google particular must be especially strong in the use of Excel Access PowerPoint and other comparable applications within Google and others. Effectively utilizes software to demonstrate strong financial and analytical skills.
