Job Title: Senior Systems Engineer / Technical Lead
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Senior Systems Engineer / Technical Lead to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-level support for all critical systems and applications ensuring zero or minimal downtime. This role requires deep technical expertise and a proactive approach to managing complex systems in a high-stakes environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Serve as the technical lead for all clients critical systems and applications ensuring optimal performance and availability.
- Provide high-level support for Oracle (Solaris) and Red Hat Linux virtualizations driving efficient operations and maintenance.
- Manage IBM WebSphere across various versions (3.x 4.x 5.x 6.x and 8.x) on both Solaris and Linux platforms.
- Oversee IBM MQ administration including versions (5.x 6.x and 9.x) on Solaris and Linux ensuring seamless message queueing and processing.
- Work with specialized platforms such as Thompson Reuters Enterprise Platform (TREP) Reuters Markets Data System (RMDS) DACS Wombat and Refinitiv.
- Lead storage provisioning efforts using HP 3PAR administration optimizing storage resources for critical applications.
- Implement OS and application monitoring solutions using FogLight and BMC Patrol to ensure system health and performance.
- Manage backup and recovery solutions utilizing Commvault and Veritas NetBackup with Symantec appliances to protect critical data.
- Facilitate server provisioning using HP Opsware ensuring efficient deployment and maintenance of server resources.
- Oversee user and server access provisioning using CentrifyDC maintaining security and compliance standards.
- Provide hands-on experience with Informatica including installation and operational knowledge to support data integration processes.

Qualifications:
- Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field.
- 5 years of experience in systems engineering or technical lead roles preferably in a financial or banking environment.
- Strong expertise in Oracle (Solaris) Red Hat Linux IBM WebSphere IBM MQ and relevant virtualization technologies.
- Familiarity with Thomson Reuters and Refinitiv platforms along with experience in data systems and storage administration.
- Proven experience with monitoring tools such as FogLight and BMC Patrol as well as backup solutions like Commvault and Veritas NetBackup.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure to resolve complex technical issues.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams and convey technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders.
