Job Description Summary

Join GE HealthCare as a Clinical Research Scientist in Radiation Oncology in collaboration with Stanford University and help advance next-generation medical imaging technologies.
Youll lead and support clinical research efforts focused on PET/CT imaging contributing to the development of AI-enhanced imaging solutions. This role is pivotal in connecting GE HealthCare with Stanfords Department of Radiation Oncology to validate and accelerate clinical applications that transform cancer care.
The clinical research scientist plays a pivotal role in facilitating the development of advanced technology bridging between GE HealthCare and a medical partner such as Stanford who seeks to develop new technology on GE HealthCare equipment.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Drive academic and clinical research collaborations with Stanford faculty (radiologists oncologists physicists technologists).
  • Serve as the primary technical interface between GE HealthCare and Stanford research collaborators.
  • Contribute to publications grant proposals and conference presentations.
  • Support study design methodology development and literature awareness for joint research initiatives.
  • Provide feedback from Stanford clinical to GE HealthCares R&D engineering regulatory and marketing teams.
  • Participate in pre- and post-market evidence generation aligned with GEHC product development.
  • Maintain compliance with GEHC Quality and Regulatory processes

Required Qualifications

  • PhD or Masters degree (with 3 years of experience) in Physics Chemistry Life Sciences Biomedical/Electrical/Software Engineering Computer Science or related field.
  • 3 years of experience in medical imaging especially in PET or SPECT.
  • Strong foundation in PET/CT modality physics and imaging principles
  • Strong relationship and communication skills.
  • Self-starter with the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
  • Hands-on experience with GE HealthCare PET/CT systems and technologies.

Preferred Qualifications

  • PhD degree in a relevant discipline
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Postdoctoral experience in imaging or engineering disciplines (e.g. Biomedical Engineering Computer Science Applied Math Medical Physics).
  • Familiarity with image reconstruction post-processing and clinical workflow in radiation oncology.
  • Experience in AI model development for imaging applications.
  • Programming proficiency (e.g. Python MATLAB C).
  • Training in Good Clinical Practice (GCP) privacy protocols and research compliance.

  • Must be legally authorized to work in the United States full-time.
  • Must be willing to work in Stanford area full-time.

  • Must be 18 years of age or older.

For U.S. based positions only the pay range for this position is $97600.00-$146400.00 Annual. It is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the pay range and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may be influenced by a variety of factors including skills qualifications experience and addition this position may also be eligible to earn performance based incentive compensation which may include cash bonus(es) and/or long term incentives (LTI). Additional Information
