Job Description
The Plateau Group a leader in energy consulting and solutions is seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven Facility Budget Analyst to join our dynamic team in Fairfax VA. The Analyst will play a critical role in analyzing the execution and obligation rates of facilities programs providing status of funds reports using Army and Army National Guard financial and resource management systems. The role also requires strong analytical and technical capabilities to build dashboards and visual reports using Microsoft Power BI platform. The Analyst will also assist other offices with data correction using these programs.
This position is full-time on a client site in Arlington VA and has occasional travel requirements.
Key Responsibilities:
- Collect compare and interpret execution and obligation rates from multiple DoD financial/resource management systems and analyze the data for inconsistencies.
- Develop customized reports from stated systems utilizing programs such as Excel & PowerPoint to be briefed to senior leaders within the clients organization.
- Interpret and present complex data findings in a clear and professional manner.
- Build maintain and present interactive dashboards and visualizations using Power BI to support decision-making and reporting.
- Provide operational support in planning programming budgeting and execution (PPBE) processes related to facilities.
- Prepare detailed financial reports dashboards and presentations for internal and external audiences.
- Advise and assist other resource management professionals with correct data entry into financial and resource management systems.
- Communicate financial information effectively to both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
- Provide training materials for other resource management professionals and be prepared to conduct training remotely or in a classroom environment.
- Possess a bachelors degree in Accounting Business Management Engineering or a related field is required.
- 5 years of experience is required in facility-related budget analysis resource management or a similar role for a DoD organization.
- At least 2 years of experience working with Army resource management systems specifically GFEBS FMBT FP-PAS RM Online and similar systems.
- Experience working with the Army National Guard is highly desired.
- Strong analytical skills with proficiency in data analysis tools particularly Power BI Excel and similar platforms.
- Knowledge of DoD financial management policies regulations and procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to present financial data and information to individuals unfamiliar with resource management.
- Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
- Active SECRET clearance is desired and ability to obtain a SECRET clearance is required.
