Job Duties (Duties marked with an asterisk are essential functions of this job):
Responsible for maintaining sanitation and cleanliness of all food service areas and equipment including cleaning of kitchens storeroom and locker areas.*
Cleaning all kitchen surfaces i.e. floors walls ceilings etc.*
Maintaining clean dishwasher and dishwashing areas.*
Emptying and scrubbing garbage containers when necessary.*
Keeping garbage compactor area clean and neat.*
Cleaning hood areas and screens above cooking areas. May require some shifts as a general kitchen worker.*
Qualifications:
Must be at least 18 years of age or older.
Knowledge Skills and Abilities:
Must be able to read and write English language.
Self-starter ability to perform all job duties without close supervision.
Understand use of and work with assorted chemicals.
One year experience in related field preferred.
Job Demands:
Third Shift Schedule 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM including weekends and holidays.
Proper footwear must be provided by employee.
Work area subject to uncomfortable heat.
Must be able to work with chemicals.
Must be able to lift average weight of 50 pounds.
Standing and walking required throughout shift.
This is a union position and the work schedule will be based on union seniority. Candidates must be able to meet scheduled requirements which will most likely require evening and weekend hours.
