Job Title: Heavy Equipment Operator
Principal Duties and Responsibilities
- Conduct equipment inspections and report maintenance needs
- Operate heavy equipment (e.g. backhoes excavators skid steers truck trailers) safely and efficiently on commercial job sites
- Assist with site preparation grading and backfill.
- Ensure work is performed safely and within project specifications.
- Communicate effectively with crew and take direction from supervisors foremen and project managers.
- Safely maneuver equipment in tight or active construction zones ensuring protection of existing utilities and structures
- Support job-site cleanup and organization by transporting debris soil and other materials off site.
- Provide general labor support when equipment operation is not required.
- Other duties as assigned
Job Specifications (incl. Education requirements minimal experience computer skills required etc.)
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- 2 years experience operating heavy equipment in commercial construction settings.
- Proficient in construction equipment and safety protocols.
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
- Ability to establish effective working relationships with other employees and general public
- Follow and practice safety measures
- Must be able to lift up to 50lbs and perform physical labor as needed.

Compensation Range: $35 - $45 per hour
