About this Job

The mission of the Louisiana Department of Health is to protect and promote health and to ensure access to medical preventive and rehabilitative services for all residents of the State of Louisiana.

This Administrative Coordinator 4 serves as Medical Vendor Administration (MVA) Eligibility Field Operations front line support to the public. Key responsibilities are adhering to policy and procedures and completing timely and accurate statewide correspondence processing including receiving sorting stamping scan/filing and disposing of postal and electronic mail.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties:

ResponsibleforprocessingtimelyandaccurateLaMEDScasestatusupdatesandcasenotes subsequenttocorrespondenceprocessingincludingbutnotlimitedto:mailingapplicationsor otherdocumentsuponrequestproducingformsforMedicaidproviderpaymentproposingcase closuresuponnotificationofdeathorunabletolocateanduploadingandindexingdocumentsto ElectronicDataManagementSystem(EDMS).

Completesand/orassiststhememberwithcompletingself-serviceportalchangereportsin LaMEDS.

Answers general questions in-person by telephone or by email concerning agency policies program requirements case status and the application or renewal process.

Assists the Customer Service Unit by handling general Medicaid inquiring phone calls during periods of high call volume or special outbound calling initiatives.

Operates and maintains computer hardware personal computers servers network printers digital copiers scanners fax machines etc.

Assists Medicaid analyst with other activities as directed by Supervisor.
