This position is located in the Pardon & Parole Board Department.


  • This position will serve as Administrative Program Specialist responsible for disseminating the mail to the appropriate area. Assisting in docket preparation with our pardon and parole staff. Creating and uploading decision forms minute sheets and agendas for weekly hearings. Creating adding and modifying data in IBM notes and Cajun.
  • We have live hearings here at our Baton Rouge location. Our staff works directly with the board of pardons & committee on parole to ensure the documents we are gathering and uploading are presented to the board to aide in the decisions being rendered for our inmate population.

Minimum Qualifications

Three years of experience in administrative services.

EXPERIENCE SUBSTITUTION:
Every 15 semester hours earned from an accredited college or university will be credited as six months of experience.

Job Duties and Other Information


  1. Daily mail call outs- we get the mail twice a day once in the morning and afternoon

  2. You will be working in our case management system through IBM notes and Cajun inputting data in IBM notes and Cajun daily.


THIS POSITION IS A JOB APPOINTMENT

This posting is for a temporary job appointment lasting up to four years;

however should a permanent position become available

the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.



This posting may be used to fill other positions such as:

  • TEMPORARY JOB APPOINTMENT: This position may be filled by temporary job appointment. If filled as a temporary job appointment should a permanent position become available the employee may be converted to a probational appointment.
  • PROBATIONAL APPOINTMENT: Current permanent status classified State employees may be required to accept a probational appointment if selected.
  • PROMOTION: Open to all Statewide classified and Agency-wide permanent status employees. The selected employee may be required to serve a trial detail prior to being permanently promoted.

Exams and License Requirements

  • No Civil Service Test Score is required in order to be considered for this vacancy.
  • Any degree certificate special license or DD-214 must be verified by official documentation prior to hire.
    1. Any qualifying experience that is based on college credit/college hours should have an accompanying transcript for verification.
    2. Failure to provide your qualifying work experience may result in your application not being considered.
