Nashville General Hospital is hiring a Full Time Building Operations Mechanic for our Facilities Management team in Nashville Tennessee.
Shift: Full-time Day (7:00am-3:30pm)
The Building Operations Mechanic participates in the duties of maintaining a variety of plumbing heating air conditioning mechanical and electrical systems for on-site buildings. Maintains troubleshoots and repairs facilities mechanical components and electrical systems in accordance with SOPs (standard operating procedures) internal requirements manufacturers specifications and safety policies.
Building Operations Mechanic Roles & Responsibilities:
- Performs skilled maintenance and repair of complex mechanical electrical HVAC and other physical structures.
- Recommends purchase of maintenance tools equipment and supplies as required.
- Develops maintains and secures a spare parts inventory of basic maintenance hand and power tools.
- Assists supervisors in developing methods and procedures to improve facility efficiency and workflow.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- 5-8 years of related work experience required (working in healthcare preferred)
- High school diploma/GED required
- Trade school or other work experience.
- Being a Building Operations Mechanic works under moderate supervision has attained full proficiency in a specific area of discipline.
