What You Will Do
The primary purpose of this position is to process Banner payroll by executing programs and moving the payroll through the required dispositions. They must process payroll by each deadline with accurate salary amounts pay changes defer pay taxes and deductions all charged to the appropriate labor distributions for the correct percentage and dates. Interpreting CS/Prof faculty and Grad Employment contracts for both new hires and changes to existing employees. Required to review to determine accuracy of data; and contract context for irregularities. Verify contracts and changes entered into Banner system by Employment staff and the Provost Office for accuracy to ensure proper payment on the payroll. This position enters adjustments and corrections and creates system overrides due to late paperwork. This position will primarily work faculty and semi-monthly payrolls but will be required to assist with bi-weekly and student payrolls as needed.

Minimum Acceptable Qualifications

1. High school diploma or equivalent
2. Any one or any combination totaling three (3) years (36 months) from the following categories:

  • course work in human resource administration business administration or closely related field as measured by the following conversion table or its proportional equivalent
    • 30 semester hours equals one (1) year (12 months)
    • Associates Degree (60 semester hours) equals eighteen months (18 months)
    • 90 semester hours equals two (2) years (24 months)
    • Bachelors Degree (120 semester hours) equals three (3) years (36 months)
  • progressively more responsible work experience maintaining monitoring and/or processing human resource records and reports
