JOB OPPORTUNITY
The City of Berkeley invites you to apply for the positionof Service Technicianin the Public WorksDepartment! In this role you will have the opportunity toperform a variety of duties and semi-skilled work for the preventive maintenance repair overhaul and servicing of various motor vehicle and related equipment.

EXAM PROCESS
The exam processwillinclude butmaynotbelimited to:
Application review for minimum qualifications anddocuments(qualifying experience will be calculated based on the administrative review date)
Performance Exam- Tentatively scheduled for August 27 2025 and/or August 28 2025
Tests may consist of any combination of written oral or other exercises or assessment procedures that test content and may include but are not necessarily limited to typing math reading writing and analytical skills; problem solving ability; computer and software proficiency or any other job-related knowledge skill ability or qualification.The examination process and datesare subject to change. TheCitymay without notice change oreliminateany assessmentcomponentas needs dictate. Applicants passing all examination phases will have their names placed on an employment eligible list that hiring departments will use to conduct final selection interviewsslated forthe week of September 22 2025.

PRE-EMPLOYMENT PROCESS
