Job Description
Join the Thoreau Elementary Team!Thoreau Elementary School is seeking a caring enthusiastic Special Education Assistant to join our dedicated community of educators. We are especially interested in candidates with experience in Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) and a background in supporting students with Autism Spectrum Disorders and Developmental Delays in school settings. We are looking for someone who is committed to these values and eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of position offers the opportunity to work closely with individual students in a substantially separate elementary classroom providing one-on-one support through discrete trial instruction and ABA-based interventions. Under the guidance of a BCBA and special educators the assistant will collect data implement behavior plans and help students generalize academic and social skills across school are a collaborative student-centered school where all staff are valued members of the team.
