Job Description Summary

As an IP&E Legal Operations Specialist you will play a vital role in protecting and advancing our intellectual property assets while contributing to the success of our engineering and legal teams. This role is critical in supporting the administration and management of our intellectual property portfolio facilitating IP transactions providing dispute management support driving communications and strategy delivering analytics insights and supporting project and program management initiatives. You can thrive in a fast-paced environment and demonstrate a commitment to safety quality delivery and cost (SQDC) with safety always being the top priority.
This is a hybrid role 3 days a week in the office in any of the locations listed.

Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • IP Portfolio Administration:Manage and maintain the intellectual property portfolio ensuring accurate documentation compliance and timely updates.
  • IP Transactions Support:Assist in the execution of intellectual property transactions including licensing agreements acquisitions and other related activities.
  • Dispute Management Support:Provide support in managing IP-related disputes including research documentation and coordination with legal teams.
  • Communications and Strategy:Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and execute communication strategies related to IP initiatives and legal operations.
  • Analytics:Generate and analyze data to provide actionable insights for decision-making and strategy development.
  • Project and Program Management:Support the planning execution and monitoring of projects and programs related to IP and legal operations.

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelors degree in a relevant field (e.g. Legal Studies Engineering Business Administration) or equivalent experience.
  • Minimum of 2 years experience in intellectual property management legal operations or a related field.

Desired Characteristics:

  • Demonstrated understanding of the processes relating to procurement and maintenance of each common type of intellectual property including patents trade secrets and copyrights.
  • Familiarity with best practices for docketing and protection of Intellectual Property rights including use of patent docketing applications and systems. Experience and familiarity with the Anaqua corporate IP management system is strongly preferred
  • Good knowledge of United States Patent & Trademark Office (USPTO) forms rules filing processes and portals and procedures and at least a basic understanding of foreign patent prosecution procedures
  • Strong organizational and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word PowerPoint Excel) tools and an aptitude for learning other computer applications
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to collaborate across teams and functions.
  • Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.

The base pay range for this position pay range is $77300 to 103000 USD Annual USD Annual. The specific pay offered may be influenced by a variety of factors including the candidates experience education and skill set. This position is also eligible for an annual discretionary bonus based on a percentage of your base salary/ commission based on the plan. This posting is expected to close on August 10 2025.
