JOB SUMMARY
Under the general supervision of the Director Hospice and Palliative Care this position maintains the supervision and direction of the skilled nursing spiritual counseling/pastoral care social services volunteers hospice aide homemaker and other services which may be offered by the Hospice Agency. Core Responsibilities: Plans develops implements and evaluates Hospice care services programs and activities. Responsible for the administration of services to Hospice patients in the community. Directs plans coordinates and implements the activities of the staff to assure quality care and the appropriate quantity of clinical services. Has authority and responsibility for the development and daily operations of the Hospice programs. Responsible for keeping current in Hospice/Medical Centers communication and performance of other duties as required. Communicates effectively with Home Health Director. Develops and promotes continuous quality improvement; provides an ongoing evaluation of staff programs and quality of service. Develops oversees manages the Quality Assessment Performance Improvement (QAPI) program. Oversees and participates in Interdisciplinary Group (IDG) regarding the management of clinical services. Fills the role of Administrator in the absence of the Director Hospice and Palliative Care.JOB DETAILS AND REQUIREMENTS
Education:
- Bachelors Degree in a healthcare or related field - required
- Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurse credentials - preferred
Certification & Licensures:
- Registered Nurse in Missouri - required
- BLS Certification in Missouri - required
- Certification of Hospice and Palliative Nurse credentials - preferred
Experience:
- Three (3) years of hospice or end of life care experience - required
- Previous management experience - preferred
