Job Description
We are accepting applications for an Austin-based Medical Laboratory Processing Company for their Medical Billerposition. This company is fast-paced and has a challenging yet rewarding work environment. Most permanent employees have been there longer than 6 years and started in entry level roles comparable to this one! This position is within the billing department and is ideal for someone with great computer skills and the ability to work independently.
Responsibilities/Essential Functions:
- Obtain demographic and insurance information from scanned patient demographics and hospital charting systems
- Enter all data accurately into the billing system (Imagine) in a timely manner
- Verify insurance eligibility using insurance eligibility sites
- Audit pathology reports and enter accurate ICD-10 and CPT codes according to established guidelines
- Assist management with daily and monthly reporting as needed
