Job Description

Are you interested in working with SLG EDU customers as they navigate through some of the most dynamic and disruptive transformation projects in their organizations history Does the prospect of empowering these organizations cloud transformation success by aligning professional services managed services and support of the critical business and IT outcomes excite you

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is seeking an accomplished Services Executive to drive services with State and Local Government K-12 GovTech EdTech and Higher Education organizations inclusive of Health providers (county state and academic institutions).

As an Enhanced Services Account Manager within AWS you will have the opportunity to drive the adoption and growth of emerging cloud technologies. You will help organizations develop a service delivery strategy including professional services managed services and support. You are responsible for determining the most effective strategy and collaborating with AWS Account Teams Professional Services and Partners.

You will establish deep business and technical relationships through your knowledge of the customers goals. You will have day-to-day interactions with customers and AWS Partners. The ideal candidate will possess both a sales and technical background that enables them to drive an engagement at the CXO level as well as with the software developers and IT architects. You should have demonstrated the ability to think strategically about customer priorities and technical challenges and to convey compelling service solutions.

This position requires that the candidate selected be a US Citizen.

Key job responsibilities
Be a member of the account team that shapes a territory account strategy and customer engagement plan that drives revenue through the adoption of AWS Professional Services Amazon Managed Services and AWS Enterprise Support direct or through an SI.

Engage with customers at the CxO level to deliver scalable long-term solutions.

Accelerate and simplify complex and strategic opportunities in assigned territory with AWS services.

Create and drive adoption of best practices to accelerate results.

Identify services solutions i.e. Professional Services Amazon Managed Services and Enterprise Support based on customer needs.

Document and shape offers to drive repeatable outcomes across the territory based on best practices and trends.

Prepare and deliver business reviews to senior management team regarding quarterly and year strategies that align with revenue growth expectations.

- 5 years of full sales cycle technology sales or equivalent business development sales engineering/consulting or equivalent experience
- Bachelors degree or equivalent
- Demonstrated performance operating in greenfield territory where strategy and go-to market may not be defined.
- Demonstrated experience working with internal and external stakeholders on complex initiatives.
- Demonstrated success impacting team goals and initiatives.

- Experience driving new business in greenfield accounts at the C-suite level or equivalent
- Experience with government procurement and contracting process
- Experience with technology platform sales with an understanding of government IT data centers cloud services and cloud adoption
- Experience supporting SLG EDU and XTech customers.
- Experience selling Professional Services Managed Services and Enterprise Support.
- Experience exceeding sales targets using a consultative service delivery focused approach.
- Experience working with customers and consulting Partners (such as SIs and Resellers).
- Experience with contract and statement of work development.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $83100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $177800/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. This position is eligible for variable pay via a sales compensation plan. These plans pay according to achievement level against sales targets and/or business objectives. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
