Job Description:
Morris and Associates is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Buyer II.
Key Responsibilities:
- Purchase assigned commodities such as materials components supplies at most favorable price consistent with quality quantity delivery and other factors
- Evaluate and recommend sources of materials and supplies consistent with pricing and quality goals
- Evaluate materials needs and execute timely purchases to support customer orders and inventory plans
- Work to continually improve processes and procedures for best effectiveness
Qualifications:
- Three (3) to Five (5) years of experience in purchasing required
- Electromechanical commodity experience a plus
- Associate or bachelors degree in business or technical field preferred
- Familiarity with MS Windows environment (Word Excel Explorer) a must
- Experience with ERP/MRP system in manufacturing environment strongly preferred (Syspro a plus)
- Purchasing: 1 year (preferred)
- ERP/MRP system: 1 year (preferred)
