BACKGROUND AND PURPOSE OF THE ASSIGNMENT:
The Delivery Assurance Service of the Supply Chain and Delivery division supports WFPs Country Offices (COs) with a focus on preparedness speed reduced requirements lean processes assurance and a higher risk appetite enabling these operations using one or a combination of modalities in the last mile to remain simple fast flexible and adaptable.
The incumbent will be part of the Field Support and Rapid Response team and the position plays a crucial role in bridging the gap between HQ RBs and COs supporting these COs to meet the corporate IDM and cash assurance standards.
ACCOUNTABILITIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:
1.
Contribute towards the deisgn implementation monitoring and closure of preparedness projectsand processes in line with corporate standards and frameworks and operational needs.
2.
Provide project support to specific and defined assurance and preparedness programmes andprojects of limited size/complexity.
3.
Contribute to the development of accurate and timely reporting on preparedness activities forthe Delivery Assurance Service and/or other WFP stakeholders.
4.
Liaise with internal and external counterparts to enure effectice collaboration admin and travelsupport for the Field Support and Rapid Response team and escalating challenges as needed.
5.
Support the dissemination of corporate developments to the field including but not limited todevelopments related to policy areas and the production of normative guidance.
6.
Help identify and escalate staffing and surge needs from the field and support in theidentification of appropriate profiles and manage the Cash Roster in close coordination with theTalent Management team of the Programme Operations Department.
7.
Support the preparation and implementation of capacity building activities within the area ofpreparedness for specific operations and/or regions.
8.
Perform other duties as required.
DELIVERABLES AT THE END OF THE CONTRACT:
-Support to DAS preparedness initiatives including checklists and tools.
-In collaboration with relevant functions and receiving offices organisation of missions in the fieldcompleted with professionalism and timeliness.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:
Education:
University degree in Economics International Development Social Sciences Business Management or other relevant field.

Experience:
At least 3 years of progressive experience working in the humanitarian/development sphere with substantial experience in managing cash or IDM operations including coordination with internal and external stakeholders and supporting emergency programs.
Knowledge & Skills:
Solid understanding of cash operations.
Emergency Preparedness and Response
Identity Management
Strong stakeholder management and networking skills
Languages:
Fluency (level C) in English is required. Intermediate knowledge (level B) of French Spanish or Arabic is desired.
