Job Description
The Amazon FinTech UX Design team is looking for a Senior UX Designer who will lead the Finance Technology vision of building a suite of tightly integrated products that work together to solve complex business needs across multiple products from Accounting Tax Retail Receivables and Payables. The Senior UX Designer will have a passion for improving the customer experience and driving high-visibility programs that will impact products used by internal financial teams and millions of external users. We are looking for deep thinkers innovators and technical entrepreneurial leaders to join our design org as we embark on building the next big idea!
The Senior UX Designer will be responsible for owning the development of user experiences that support upstream and downstream financial systems that are strategically created to scale. This role will be partnering with internal and external customers and always strive to work backwards from customer problems and needs. This role will work closely with other UX designers UX researchers product managers and engineers to understand Finance narratives across all of Amazons business worldwide.
Key job responsibilities
Financial expertise & experience is not necessary but you should be an expert in working with highly abstracted ambiguous this role you will:
Own the end-to-end design of delightful customer experiences for multiple products
Conduct user research to identify users needs and validate design and product directions
Collect and analyze market analysis customer feedback user interviews usability testing and UX metrics analysis
Use business requirements and research findings to help develop use cases and high-level requirements
Partner with the Product team to represent customer needs in the requirements development process
Design conceptual wireframes high-fidelity mockups information architecture diagrams interaction specifications and functional prototypes
Present and defend design work to the customers product teams development teams senior leadership and other product stakeholders
Develop and nurture relationships across teams and disciplines to promote collaboration and efficiency
Manage ambiguity work independently and collaboratively and switch rapidly between different projects in an agile environment
A day in the life
As a senior contributor youll drive innovation and customer-focused solutions while collaborating with product owners and engineers. Youll work with your design team to create best-in-class experiences and enhance our design this high-performing environment youll develop end-to-end workflows from concept to interactive prototypes effectively communicating your vision to leadership. The role requires leading by example building trust and balancing immediate deliverables while contributing to long-term organizational goals.

- 6 years of design experience
- Have an available online portfolio
- Experience delivering design solutions for projects of large scope and complexity
- A strong background in user research
- Proficiency in a variety of design tools such as Figma Sketch Photoshop Illustrator InVision or similar
- Experience applying scrum to visual or UX design processes
- Experience with UX design of complex workflows
- Excellent communication presentation interpersonal and analytical skills including the ability to communicate complex interactive design concepts clearly and persuasively across different audiences and varying levels of the organization.
- Self-starter who is a customer-obsessed detail-oriented and enthusiastic team player.
- Demonstrated proficiency in using and contributing to design systems both for consistency of brand/user experience and for efficiency in code
- Masters degree in design human-computer interaction (HCI) or equivalent degree.

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $127100/year in our lowest geographic market up to $211600/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge skills and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company. Dependent on the position offered equity sign-on payments and other forms of compensation may be provided as part of a total compensation package in addition to a full range of medical financial and/or other benefits.
