Job Description

TITLE:Management & HR Coordinator

STATUS:Full-time Non-Exempt

DIVISION:General Management

DEPARTMENT:Human Resources

REPORTS TO: Director of Finance & Administration

POSTITION AVAILABLE:Mid-to-late August 2025

ONSITE REQUIREMENTS: This position will require onsite work in conjunction with Studio Theatres remote work policy.

IRREGULAR SCHEDULE DESCRIPTION: This position may require occasional weekend and evening work in order to support special theatre events.

THE POSITION

The Management & HR Coordinator supports key administrative functions at Studio Theatre including HR payroll contracting board administration and executive support. Reporting to the Director of Finance & Administration this role works across departments to manage hiring draft artist contracts process payroll and ensure compliance. The position also assists with board logistics supports the Artistic Director and oversees office operations and staff culture initiatives. This is a cross-functional role that touches nearly every aspect of the organizations administrative operations.


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Office Management: Oversee day-to-day administrative operations including office supply management reception coordination and institutional calendars. Organize cross-departmental meetings and events reconcile administrative expenses and lead staff culture initiatives through the Party Planning Committee.
  • Contracting: Draft contracts and riders for actors and stage managers. Initiate negotiations with artists and agents maintain templates and ensure terms are communicated across departments.
  • Payroll & HR: Support recruitment and hiring post open positions coordinate onboarding and issue offer letters. Process weekly and biweekly payroll manage benefits submissions maintain compliance with employment laws and serve as the point of contact for ADP.
  • Board Support: Coordinate logistics for board and committee meetings (including hybrid support) manage contact lists and board documents take meeting minutes and provide administrative support as assigned by the Executive Director.
  • Executive Support: Manage the Artistic Directors calendar and travel provide administrative assistance and support day-to-day scheduling and communications.
  • Participate in Studio Theatres on-going anti-racism work.

COMPENSATION:

For FT staff This position is a full-time salaried non-exempt position with an annualized salary between $42000 and $48000.

Studio Theatre offers a generous benefit package including medical with a partial employer contribution and a funded HRA dental and vision insurance and FSA; long-term disability insurance; life insurance; 401K with an employer match; and commuter benefits. Studio Theatre time off policies include ten paid holidays five floating holidays separate sick leave and annual vacation leave accrual starting at ten days for new hires.

Studio Theatres administrative hours are Monday thru Friday 10am to 6pm. Studio Theatres remote work policy allows certain positions to work remotely up to two days a week plus exceptions on a case-by-case basis. Due to the nature of live entertainment all positions may require some evening and weekend work.
