Job Description
This Phlebotomist position requires a minimum of two years of experience and involves collecting blood samples at two acute care hospital locations. The role includes on-call responsibilities and requires floating between the facilities. Weekend shifts will exceed every other weekend to meet department needs. Certification in CPT and CPT-1 is required.
- Adhering to all safety and infection control protocols.
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation.
- Properly labeling and handling specimens.
- Communicating effectively with patients and healthcare professionals.
- Floating between Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach locations.
- Meeting on-call requirements.
- CPT and CPT-1 certifications.
- Active Phlebotomy license (state unspecified).
- Proficiency using EPIC/handheld Rover device.
- Required to float between Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach locations.
- Weekend shifts will exceed every other weekend.
- Pending licenses are not accepted.
- RTO must be included at time of submission.
- Facility is able to call off once per two-week pay period.
- Weekend shifts will likely exceed every other weekend.
- Block scheduling is at the managers discretion.
