Job Title: Accela Business Systems Analyst
Location: Lawrenceville GA (On-Site Only)
Duration: Ongoing Project

We are seeking an experienced Business Systems Analyst with strong Accela platform expertise to support an ongoing government project based in Lawrenceville GA. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience working with Accela modules such as Permitting Licensing Code Enforcement and Workflows and a solid understanding of business process analysis documentation and enhancement within public sector systems.
Key Responsibilities:Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to gather and document requirements related to Accela.
Conduct feasibility and gap analysis to recommend process improvements for Accela workflows.
Create and maintain Business Requirement Documents (BRDs) functional specs and process maps.
Act as a liaison between technical teams QA testers and project managers.
Support QA efforts including UAT coordination and system testing validation.
Translate IT/business needs into detailed technical project specifications.
Conduct system demos presentations and end-user training.
Maintain and update user stories EPICs and sprint documentation within Agile frameworks.
Analyze data and support reporting with development and analytics teams.
Stay current on trends and best practices in Accela and public sector technologies.
Bachelors Degree in Business Administration Computer Science or related field.
9 years of experience as a Functional/Business/Data Analyst.
Proven experience with Accela Civic Platform and its modules in a government setting.
Strong knowledge of permitting licensing inspections and code enforcement workflows.
Proficient in Microsoft tools: Excel PowerPoint Visio Project Teams Outlook SharePoint.
Experience with tools like JIRA Power BI and Adobe.
Deep understanding of SDLC Agile/Scrum Kanban and Change Management practices.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Strong stakeholder and customer-facing experience (9 years).
Demonstrated leadership in Agile ceremonies sprint planning and backlog management.
CBAP PMI-PBA Agile or Accela certifications
Experience with GIS integration and municipal workflows
Familiarity with government regulatory compliance
