Job Description
Role: Spotfire / SQL Data Analyst
Location: Spring TX (Onsite)
Duration: Contract
Client: ExxonMobil
Description: We are seeking a detail-oriented and data-driven Spotfire / SQL Data Analyst to join our analytics team. This role is responsible for transforming complex datasets into actionable insights through data visualization reporting and querying helping stakeholders make informed business decisions.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop design and maintain interactive dashboards and reports using TIBCO Spotfire.
- Write efficient and scalable SQL queries to extract manipulate and analyze data from relational databases.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand data requirements and translate them into visual analytics solutions.
- Identify trends anomalies and opportunities in datasets and communicate findings to both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Optimize data workflows ensure data quality and support ongoing analytics projects.
- Automate recurring reports and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual workload.
- Support data governance initiatives and contribute to best practices in data visualization and reporting.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Proficiency in TIBCO Spotfire including IronPython scripting data wrangling and custom visualizations.
- Strong knowledge of SQL (joins subqueries window functions CTEs etc.) and experience working with large datasets.
- Solid understanding of database structures (e.g. SQL Server Oracle PostgreSQL etc.).
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with other BI tools (e.g. Power BI Tableau) is a plus.
- Familiarity with Python R or other scripting languages for data analysis.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts or cloud platforms (AWS Azure GCP).
- Industry experience in healthcare energy finance manufacturing-optional based on your needs.
- Experience with data analysis visualization and storytelling using dashboards.
- Ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.
- Strong analytical thinking problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills.
