As a Senior Distribution Engineer You can expect to:
- Lead the development of electrical distribution work packages; Perform engineering design and analysis; potentially work on capital/ reliability design (i.e. reconductor voltage conversion DG FLISR underground etc. designs)
- Be responsible for QAQC tasks on your assigned team; You will play a role in quality reviews of your teams designs prior to submittals for client projects
- Review engineering design packages with clients; Review and organize existing program work
- Perform scope analysis of work assigned and maintain schedule adherence to advocate client priorities
- Interact directly with clients on a frequent as-needed basis
- Provide engineering support during construction including post-construction reviews to ensure all applicable engineering and construction standards have been met.
- Coordinate conflicting utilities and other field engineering design requirements; Assist with work permit development easements and ROW applications
- Be comfortable in both a field and office setting; the role could possibly require some customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages

What Sets You Apart (Background Requirements):
- 4 years of relevant experience working electric distribution projects in a consulting environment for electric utilities or working directly at an electric utility
- Bachelors degree in an Engineering discipline from an accredited institution; Additional relevant experience can be considered in lieu of engineering-specific bachelors degree
- Experience and demonstrated proficiency with the National Electric Safety Code (NESC)
- Experience with engineering design quality control
- Familiarity with Pole Loading software (O-Calc Pole Foreman etc) and distribution pole analysis
- Ability to utilize a personal vehicle as some customer-related travel could be anticipated (Job-related travel will be reimbursed at IRS-approved rates)
- Willingness to perform both field and office work; Ability to work in outdoor environments on occasion; The role may require customer-site visits to collect field data that will assist in developing work packages
- Candidates should possess valid U.S. drivers license
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous QAQC experience
- Experience providing estimated costs development of a BOM calculating the CIAC
- Demonstrated history of Customer Interaction
- Proven experience and proficiency with STORMS software and GIS is preferred
- Prior Leadership experience is preferred
