Job Details:
- Location: Saranac Lake NY 12983
- Duration: 13-weeks Contract
- Shift: 10hr Day
- Guaranteed Hours: 40 hours per week
- Weekly Pay Rate: $2400 - $2640
- Gross examination and dissection of surgical pathology specimens under supervision of a pathologist
- Preparation dissection and documentation of autopsy cases
- Assist in intraoperative consultations (frozen sections)
- Ensure accurate specimen labeling documentation and quality control
- Collaborate with pathology histology and cytology teams to ensure efficient workflow
- Maintain laboratory equipment and cleanliness in accordance with safety standards
- Prepare photographic documentation of specimens as required
- Ensure compliance with NYS DOH and CAP regulations
- Bachelors degree from an accredited Pathologist Assistant program.
- NYS Licensure as a Pathologist Assistant.
- Valid NYS license as HT/HTL or MLT/MT.
- Minimum of one (1) year experience as a Pathologist Assistant.
