Apply metal to customer orders and accurately process material according to the work order specifications. Ensure that processing equipment is maintained in a safe and clean condition. Now Hiring: 2nd Shift Machine Operator Plate Saw
Location: Bloomington MN
Schedule: MondayFriday 2:00 PM 10:30 PM
Pay: $22.00 $24.00 per hour
Are you mechanically inclined detail-oriented and experienced with saws and precision tools Join our team as a Machine Operator on 2nd shift and operate our Plate Saw in a clean safe and team-driven warehouse environment.
What Were Looking For:
Were seeking candidates with prior experience running saws and using calipers along with a strong commitment to safety and quality.
Key Accountabilities
Must be certified in the material handler position
Operate cranes forklifts and other material handling equipment safely
Pull inspect and verify material before processing
Set up machinery according to work order specifications
Follow setup notes and verify that finished product meets required dimensions using calipers or other measurement tools
Record inspection measurements based on the sampling plan
Communicate with the sales team for order clarification or changes
Perform preventive maintenance on equipment and support general clean-up
Accurately manage material tags and documentation per written instructions
Assist with packaging and labeling material per work order
Maintain and care for all issued measurement tools
Operate weighing scales and document product weight accurately
Identify tag and segregate scrap or non-conforming materials
Provide feedback on product quality and machine performance
Follow all safety protocols to ensure a hazard-free work environment
Participate in cross-training and lean/quality initiatives as needed
Train others when required
Work on the warehouse floor in close proximity to heavy machinery
Exhibit TKMNA employee attributes and core competencies
Minimum Requirements
High school diploma or GED
Ability to read write and perform basic math
Able to lift and carry up to 40 lbs
Strong safety mindset
Previous warehouse experience (metals industry preferred)
Previous forklift and crane experience
Comfortable using handheld measuring tools (e.g. calipers)
Basic computer skills
