Job Description
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with an interest in gaining experience working in a law firm and exposure in a hands-on and collaborative environment.
Duties include but are not limited to:
Trademark Support
- Prepare and file U.S. and international trademark applications responses renewals and other related documents under attorney supervision
- Maintain and update trademark docketing systems and deadlines
- Conduct basic trademark searches and assist with watch services and monitoring reports
- Correspond with clients vendors and PTO offices regarding trademark matters
- Assist with preparation of status reports and client updates
Billing & Other Clerical Assistance
- Generate and process client invoices using billing software
- Track billable time expenses and matter budgets as needed
- Liaise with accounting to resolve billing inquiries and adjustments
- Assist with client conflict checks and engagement letters
- Assist with client matter closing
- Maintain organized electronic filing systems and matter records
Perform other administrative duties and special projects as assigned.
Desired qualifications:
- College degree preferred
- Prior law firm/professional services experience helpful
- Must have strong attention to detail communication organization and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently take initiative and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving
- Strong computer skills including MS Office (Word Excel and PowerPoint) and .pdf applications
- Willingness to learn and grow in the role
Compensation Hybrid Work & Other Benefits
The estimated salary range for this role is $50000-$65000 depending on experience and qualifications with bonus-earning potential and is based on the desired experience range at the time of this posting. This position is eligible for hybrid work. We strongly encourage a minimum of one day per week worked in our office preferably Tuesdays. Business needs may necessitate different or additional in-office days beyond our policy. Our hybrid work policies are subject to change depending on firm and practice needs.
