Essential Functions:
- The School Based Clinician will provide quality services to assigned clients in compliance with agency policies COMAR standards and all state and federal regulations. The specific responsibilities of the position of School Based Clinician include the following:
- Provide clinical therapeutic services to individual clients and families that can include but is not limited to: Individual and family therapy crisis intervention advocacy and supportive services diagnostic assessment treatment planning discharge planning both in school and in the community
- Participate in interdisciplinary teamwork and work with community and school providers as needed
- Timely and satisfactory documentation of all treatment efforts and progress which adheres to standards and regulations as set forth by the agency the respective licensing board and COMAR.
- Abide by all safety rules and regulations of the agency and facility
- Maintain ethical standards per their licensure and for performing services in a professional manner that is congruent with the mission and values of the agency
- Perform duties as needed in accordance with achieving agency goals and maintaining quality standards.
- Serve as a resource to students school staff and families
- Offer compassionate support to help clients manage life challenges and improve their overall well-being
- Utilize evidence-based practices to drive positive outcomes and deliver the highest quality care
- Engage in meaningful conversations to understand clients needs and support their emotional growth
- All other duties assigned

SUPERVISION AND COORDINATION OF SERVICES
The School Based Clinician reports directly to their immediate supervisor and/or the Clinic Director. The School Based Clinician will also collaborate with other professionals and care providers through interdisciplinary teamwork. The School Based Clinician adheres to ethics of their respective profession.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge Skills and Abilities: The School Based Clinician must have the following experience knowledge or abilities:
- Maintain professional license in the state of MD to provide therapy services
- Experience in working with and/or the ability and knowledge to provide comprehensive services to the population with which they are assigned to work
- Bilingual is a plus
- Credentialed with Commercial Insurance is a plus
- Knowledge of psychiatric diagnoses as defined by the American Psychiatric Association assessment human development individual therapy group therapy and family therapy
- Competency in treatment planning advocacy care coordination and clinical skills
- Ability to function on an interdisciplinary treatment team
- Excellent written interpersonal and oral communication skills
- Sensitivity to and understanding of cultural diversity and special needs populations
- Valid Drivers License and clear driving record
Age Requirement: Be at least 21 years of age.
Education and Experience: Mental Health Professional licensed by the state of Maryland (LMSW LCSW-C LGPC LCPC). Experience as required by the credentialing process.
