The Data Privacy Lead is overall responsible for managing privacy compliance within all countries in the region. For this role your responsibilities include but are not limited to:
OWNERSHIP & COMPLIANCE Ensure data privacy compliance across the Region in alignment with global privacy frameworks. Stay updated on local regulations and practices and translate them into pragmatic regional processes guidelines and best practices.
AWARENESS & TRAINING Drive awareness and build data privacy competence across the Region. Collaborate with Regional Management and local teams to embed a strong compliance culture and coordinate relevant training and support.
BUSINESS SUPPORT Provide hands-on guidance on new or evolving uses of personal data. Proactively support business plans by identifying data privacy needs and ensuring solutions align with both compliance and business goals.
CONTROL & FOLLOW-UP Identify and prioritize risks and set risk-based action plans to close compliance gaps. Lead breach management in coordination with the central data privacy team and report to key stakeholders. Support with audits and reviews.
COLLABORATION & CONTACTS Act as the main contact for regional privacy matters. Maintain strong internal and external relationships including with local authorities in partnership with the central data privacy team.
WHO YOULL WORK WITH
The Data Privacy Lead will work closely with key functions across the region including Legal HR IT Marketing Store Operations and E-commerce to ensure compliant handling of personal data and support privacy-by-design practices.
WHO YOU ARE
We are looking for people with
Law Degree
At least 4 years working experience within same or similar field
And people who are
Profound updated knowledge and experience of GDPR and relevant regional data protection legislation and legal compliance
Strong business acumen with a pragmatic mindset and ability to prioritize and manage risk.
Great cooperation and communication skills. Having the ability to make the complex simple and able to communicate and engage at all levels as well as with both formal and informal stakeholders
Strategical abstract and conceptual thinking ability with a flexible mindset and the ability to see formulate and propose different solutions in a way that are easy to understand for others
Ability to identify and recognize opportunities for new or improved technologies to enable a more effective data protection compliance function and improvements
Curious by nature and interested in learning and developing yourself within your area of expertise
Great interpersonal skills and ability to work well both independently and as part of a team
