Teaching Assistant Richmond September 2025 Start
Location: Richmond South West London
Contract: Permanent Term Time Only (39 weeks)
Hours: 09:0015:30 Monday to Friday (30.5 hours per week including weekly meeting)
Pay: 21684 per annum (Pro Rata) Inner London
Start Date: September 2025 or as soon as possible

A highly regarded special school in Richmond is looking to appoint a full-time Teaching Assistant to join their dedicated team supporting pupils with severe learning difficulties and autism. This Teaching Assistant role is ideal for someone who enjoys working as part of a team thrives in a nurturing environment and wants to make a long-term impact in childrens lives.
As a Teaching Assistant you will support pupils aged 419 across a broad and engaging curriculum tailored to meet individual needs. Working closely with teachers therapists and other specialists youll contribute to creating a calm structured and inclusive learning environment where every child is known valued and supported.
Key responsibilities:
- Supporting pupils with complex learning needs and autism in class and during therapies
- Encouraging communication independence and personal development
- Helping to deliver structured personalised learning and care routines
- Building strong relationships with pupils staff and families
- Attending weekly class meetings and contributing to planning and reflection
Were looking for:
- Experience working with children or young people ideally with SEND
