People Who Care provide person-centred assistance and support to vulnerable people helping participants to achieve their goals and remain as independent as possible. The On-Call Worker will provide rostering and administrative support after hours/weekends to our service areas including aged care disability and veterans programs.
On-Call Worker One week on one week off (rotating roster)
On-Call after Office Hours with the below as part time hours:
- 5-7pm Monday to Friday
- 2 hrs Saturday and Sunday
Key responsibilities:
- Maintain clear and effective communication with participants and staff.
- Manage and respond promptly to incoming calls and emails in a professional and timely manner.
- Proactively monitor and adapt to client needs and staff availability ensuring accurate and timely responses to changes.
- Build strong relationships with workers and clients to enhance engagement and staff retention.
- Identify and address shift vacancies make changes (as needed) and communicate changes effectively to employees and clients.
What you will need:
- Previous experience in a similar after-hours or on-call advisory role ideally within the aged care or disability support sector.
- Case Management experience in Disability or Aged Care.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to provide support to participants employees stakeholders third party providers.
- Empathy patience and a genuine interest in supporting vulnerable people with a passion for positive outcomes.
- High level of personal motivation initiative and integrity
- Ability to work with individuals from a range of social financial and cultural backgrounds.
- First Aid Certificate
- Willingness to learn and competency in using technology (internet email and smartphone).
- Current Western Australian drivers licence.
- Current NDIS Worker Screening Check.
- Current National Police Clearance (not older than 6 months).
Desirable:
- Experience assisting or coordinating people living with high care needs.
- Certificate IV or higher in Disability Aged Care or Community Services (or similar)
- First Aid Certificate
