Job Description

Demco is looking for a detail-oriented professional with exceptional communication skills to join our team as a Production Scheduler. This position plays a key role in ensuring our manufacturing operations run smoothly and efficiently. Successful candidates must have computer experience including Microsoft Excel Word and Outlook. Previously experience in manufacturing scheduling is preferred. Demco provides a competitive compensation & benefits package that takes into account your skills and expertise.


Hours are Monday - Thursday 7am/4:30pm and Fridays 7am/11am (overtime may be needed based on production schedules)


Primary Duties:

  • Process and revise all production job orders including Spencer-to-Boyden wire harness shop orders.
  • Manage job order cancellations in response to schedule changes.
  • Collaborate with Sales to establish accurate completion dates for sold products.
  • Coordinate with Team Leads to resolve inventory overages or shortages and identify potential BOM issues.
  • Maintain and update the main production schedule for the entire plant.
  • Prepare and distribute production paperwork packets to the production floor.
  • Process Red Tags for additional production or scrap.
  • Assist with inventory cycle counts and count verifications as needed.
  • Implement ECN changes affecting active shop orders.
  • Verify job completions through the MRP system.
  • Report quarterly Lot Stock to the accounting department.
  • Apply strong analytical mathematical administrative and communication skills daily.
  • Take on additional tasks as the scheduling role evolves.
  • Assist other areas and departments as needed.
Requirements

Qualifications/Experience:

  • Proven experience in production scheduling or a related manufacturing role preferred.
  • Familiarity with MRP systems and production planning tools.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.
  • Ability to adapt in a fast-paced evolving environment.
  • Work with others to solve problems
  • Proficiency in creating spreadsheets analyzing data composing documents and creating flow charts.
  • High attention to detail is required
  • General understanding of the functions in the plant
  • Understanding of Lean and ISO principles
