About this role

You will be an early hire onto our Deal Desk team under GTM Strategic Ops. This means youll have and incredible opportunity to help lay the groundwork for this function as the company grows. Youll help our team move faster and adapt to change at WRITER speed.
The Deal Desk works closely with partners in Sales Rev Ops Finance Legal and Product to advise on deals and create order forms that will drive deals to completion as well as determine our internal processes moving forward. We are experts on our internal processes and requirements and advisors to the sales team and other teams to help the company grow. You will also provide valuable insights to advise on how our quote to cash tool stack is set up to prepare us for future scale.

Your responsibilities:
Advise the sales team on deal structures that fit their customers needs while maximizing revenue
Youll get deep in the weeds of our deals in order to create order forms that meet our internal requirements and represent the deal well
Create relationships with our sales team so they trust you to be a valuable player in helping us win deals
Process orders when they are ready to close in salesforce and be sent to finance for invoicing. This will give you a fantastic understanding of how our systems currently work so we can drive improvements to prepare us to scale
Apply your insights to our pricing and packaging so we can continue to evolve
Work closely with other members of our GTM Strat Ops team to create an AI-driven operational powerhouse that helps push the business forward
Is this you
Proven ability to move fast and adapt in a constantly changing environment
3 years of experience in a mix of the following roles: deal desk finance order management sales operations or revenue role
Strong understanding of Salesforce from an order management perspective. You dont need Salesforce admin experience but you do need to understand how the tool works (ex. How the different objects fit together and how we could optimize our design for better data collection)
Ability to think strategically when designing deals to come up with solutions that fit a customers unique needs and maximize revenue
An eagle eye for process and ability to identify areas where we can improve
Strong business acumen and understanding of the sales lifecycle
Team player who will do what it takes to manage deals across the finish line especially at month and quarter end
Experience working with revenue recognition principles and US GAAP
