Job Description
Position: Wastewater Technician (J)
Location: Fallon NV
Schedule: Rotating Shifts (Day & Graveyard monthly rotation) 810 hour shifts
Pay:$22.00/hour
Industry: Industrial / Environmental Operations
We are seeking a dependable and safety-focusedWastewater Technician to join our team in Fallon NV. This hands-on role plays a key part in both environmental operations and material processing. Youll be responsible for operating heavy equipment supporting wastewater treatment and assisting in the cleaning and preparation of tungsten carbide materials used in high-performance tools.
Key Responsibilities:
Wastewater Operations:
- Operate dump trucks forklifts and water trucks to support fluid processing
- Run equipment to treat and neutralize wastewater from plant operations
- Log wastewater data accurately and maintain required documentation
- Unload acid trucks as needed
- Perform preventative maintenance and report mechanical issues promptly
Material Processing:
- Clean and dry tungsten carbide materials using tables dry screws and other equipment
- Inspect materials using microscopes and acid testing to ensure quality standards
- Post material data into the computer system as required
- Maintain cleanliness and organization in the department
- Assist in other departments as trained and needed
General Duties:
- Follow all OSHA and company safety protocols
- Wear required PPE including steel-toed boots and respirators
- Maintain open communication with supervisors group leaders and unit leaders
- Assist in training new employees and support team collaboration
Requirements:
- High school diploma or GED
- Ability to lift up to 33 lbs and perform physical tasks
- Comfortable working outdoors in all weather conditions
- Willingness to work rotating shifts (day and graveyard)
- Experience operating heavy equipment preferred
- Strong attention to detail and safety
