Job Description
A breakfast chef is responsible for preparing and cooking breakfast dishes ensuring high standards of food quality and kitchen hygiene in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Food Preparation: Prepare and cook a variety of breakfast dishes ensuring they are delicious and visually appealing.
- Kitchen Management: Oversee the breakfast service including setting up and cleaning the kitchen after service.
- Quality Control: Ensure all dishes are prepared according to recipes and meet quality standards.
- Inventory Management: Check early morning deliveries and maintain optimal stock levels for breakfast ingredients.
- Team Collaboration: Work closely with other kitchen staff to ensure timely and accurate order preparation.
- Guest Interaction: Collect feedback from guests during breakfast service and report any issues to the head chef.
- Compliance: Adhere to health and safety regulations maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment.
- Culinary Skills: Strong knowledge of breakfast foods and cooking techniques.
- Time Management: Ability to handle multiple orders efficiently during busy service periods.
- Communication: Good communication skills to work effectively with kitchen staff and management.
- Organization: Strong organizational skills to maintain a clean and orderly kitchen.
- Experience: Previous experience in a kitchen environment preferably in a breakfast or similar role.
