Job Description

Working closely with the Head of the EU Affairs Office in a supporting role the task of the intern include:

Monitoring of EU policies and drafting notes (Mobility Emissions Regulations Road Safety Digitalization Energy Environment and Climate etc.);

Attendance of and reporting on policy events in Brussels;

Attendance of and reporting on association meetings;

Assisting with research and analysis of policy issues;

Helping with formulating advocacy and position papers;

Preparing and assisting in outreaches.


Qualifications :

University degree in European studies politics communications economics law or business (preferably at a Master level).

Dynamic excited about European affairs able to feel ownership of their projects and see them through;

Excellent organizational skills;

Excellent written and spoken English. Fluency in German is a plus;

Excellent networking and social skills with a special attention to adapt to various intercultural settings;

Good analytical conceptual and strategic thinking skills;

Flexibility willingness to learn and adapt;

Ability to work independently and as part of an international team

Understanding of EU institutions functioning is a plus;

Interest in transport/mobility digitalization energy environment and climate.

If you are a student enrolled in a University/College (or if you are available for a voluntary internship outside a university curriculum) you will be granted an allowance of 105600/month.

If you want to apply for a voluntary internship you must be a citizen of the EU or have a work permit in Belgium.

In case that you need to do a mandatory internship your University/College must be located in a member state of the EU.
