As a Wardsperson you will play a vital role in supporting the clinical team by ensuring the safe clean and efficient functioning of the hospital wards. Your responsibilities will include transporting patients equipment and supplies as well as assisting with patient movement and basic care tasks under supervision.
This is a shift-based role requiring flexibility across a rotating 7-day roster. Shifts vary and may commence as early as 6:00am with night shifts also required. Each shift is 8 hours in duration.
Key duties include:
Transferring patients equipment and furniture across the hospital.
Delivering blood products medications and specimens to relevant departments.
Supporting patient mobility and safe repositioning under direction.
Assisting with meal deliveries and collecting late meals when needed.
Following infection control protocols and maintaining hygiene standards.
A caring and team-focused individual with a positive can-do attitude.
Previous experience in a healthcare or similar support role is desirable but not essential.
Able to communicate clearly and professionally with staff patients and visitors.
Physically fit and comfortable working in a fast-paced hospital environment.
Committed to safety hygiene and patient care.
Available to work a rotating roster including early starts and night shifts
