Description
The Business Services Supervisor is responsible for direct supervision of the assigned department personnel. Responsible for working with Business Services Director to ensure the departments financial performance is within budget constraints. Coordinate activities of subordinate employees including determining priorities ensuring adherence to quality standards related to procedures/processes and monitors staffing to meet productivity standards. Issues written and oral instructions assigns duties and reviews work for exactness neatness and compliance with departmental and hospital processes and procedures and with state and federal regulations. Responsible for auditing payments denials and rejections to ensure correct reimbursement based on payer guidelines for payment.

Educational Requirements
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Experience Requirements
Minimum of one (1) year experience in management or supervision preferably in a medical environment preferred.
Experience in medical office/billing patient accounts accounting or insurance processing required preferably 3 years or more.
Computer experience in office setting required preferably prior experience with patient accounting claim processing and Microsoft Office (Word Excel PowerPoint Outlook).
Customer service experience required preferably one year or more.
Special Skills or Training Requirements
Strong verbal written analytical and interpersonal skills. Medical terminology and coding knowledge helpful but not required.
