Position Summary
As a Manager Advanced Security Response Team (ASRT) you will manage a team which is dedicated to providingescalation response to security incidents and focused on the operational aspects of web application security: analyzingthreats suggesting direct methods of remediation and mitigation and actively working to block attacks in thiscustomer-facing role you will continuously interact with customers to mitigate security attacks while creating long lastingrelationships through your technical expertise and engagement.
Manage technical escalations and work closely with Product and CS teams for our application security products (DevSupport Security Sr. Management) in order to get issues resolved. You will be a technical authority of ImpervasApplication Security suite while constantly improving best practices for solutions and services. You will work closely withManagement to implement and expand the global Advanced Security Response program.
The position requires working from Thales Austin office (3 days/week) and working on Saturday or Sunday. Atypical work schedule will be like Tuesday through Saturday or Sunday through Thursday. Work days are flexibleas long as they are consistent and covers Saturday and/or Sunday.
Special Position Requirements
Schedule: 5 days/week 9hrs shift (8hrs work 1 hour lunch included). Typically the shift will rotate between Mon-Fri or Tue-Sat orWed-Sun or Sun-Thu. Rotation is done every 3 months.
Key Areas of Responsibility
Technical leadership of the Americas ASR Team including training and development team members. Maintainsupervision over operational tasks and provide day-to-day oversight for Advanced Security Response Engineers.
People Management: Manage hire formal review fire approvals of team and their requests.
Regularly engage and update Senior Management on team KPIs performance business KPIs and on-goingoperations.
As an Imperva AppSec Security Expert you are expected to know everything there is to know about how ImpervaAppSec offerings work. Conduct thorough investigation of escalations research different attack vectors threatpatterns security events and attack strings to ensure the safety of clients data that is accessible through theinternet networks
Be a trusted advisor take ownership of all problems you encounter and be a team player. Inspire trust motivateothers and build rapport with team members. Ensure adherence to established standards and procedures.
Become a champion by engaging with customers managing escalations incidents and increasing visibility onpain points with their deployments. Work with customers partners customer account teams and other internalImperva teams (Security Threat Research Enterprise Services Security Analyst Services Product ManagementProduct Development Customer Success Managers etc.) to deliver customer feedback & reach timely resolution.
Develop and implement troubleshooting tools processes and ideas that improve the efficiency of ASRTsdelivery. Continually evaluate and enhance proactive monitoring automation and reporting initiatives.
Analyze customer data such as case trends traffic alerts and attack information to make solid recommendationsfor improving systems health and overall security posture. Research new attack vectors and security solutions to
create customized security policies that detect alert and prevent malicious request and attacks.
Review logs for evidence of application attacks and reconnaissance and create security policies to addressspecific vulnerabilities. Review active policies for effectiveness and tuning out false positives
Basic Qualifications
Minimum of 4 year bachelors degree in Information Systems or Computer Science or Telecommunications or anyTechnology field and minimum of 9 years experience in application or network security in a customer facing role
with at least last 6 years in Security Engineering/Threat Mitigation role OR
6 years experience in application or network security with a Masters degree in a technology field with at least 4years in Security Engineering/Threat mitigation role
Minimum of 3 years of leadership or management experience with proven ability to lead the team of 5-6members drive results provide feedback direction and build relationships with customers and team members in
a geographically dispersed environment.
Excellent analytical and problem-solving approach alongside self-learning ability. Passion for customersuccess/advocacy.
Demonstrated experience in working with Internet Security and Networking Technologies such as TCP/IP HTTPSSL/TLS Proxies Firewalls OWASP Top 10 and OWASP Automated Threats to Web Applications.
Hands-on experience in identifying BOT behaviors and mitigating BOT attacks. And with web applicationvulnerabilities and common attack techniques (SQLi XSS OWASP Top 10 etc)
Experience with one or more scripting languages (i.e. python bash java etc)
Physical Demands
Working on laptop for the full duration of the shift

The reference Total Target Compensation(TTC) market range for this position inclusive of annual base salary and the variable compensation target is between
Total Target Cash (TTC): 118846.00 - 170211.60 - 222236.56 USD AnnualThis reflects how companies in a similar industry and geographic region generally pay for similar jobs. This range helps the Company make pay decisions as one data point among many. Where a position falls within this range is also dependent on other factors including but not limited to the employees career path history competencies skills and performance as well as the companys annual salary budget the customers program requirements and the companys internal equity. Thales may offer additional benefits and other compensation depending on circumstances not related to an applicants status protected by local state or federal law.
