Job Title: Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Location: Legacy at College Hill Wichita KS
Job Overview:Legacy at College Hill is seeking compassionate and dedicated Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs) to join our team. The CNA will provide exceptional resident-centered care ensuring the health safety and dignity of all our residents.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Assist residents with daily living activities including bathing dressing grooming and feeding.
- Monitor residents health reporting any changes to the nursing staff promptly.
- Help residents maintain mobility by supporting safe transfers and encouraging physical activity.
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for residents adhering to infection control protocols.
- Provide emotional support and companionship to residents promoting their mental well-being.
- Document care provided and communicate effectively with the healthcare team.
- Assist with meal service including delivering trays and feeding residents when necessary.
- Follow all facility policies and procedures to ensure compliance with state and federal regulations.
Education Requirements and Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Current Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification in the state of Kansas.
- CPR and First Aid certification preferred.
- Previous experience in long-term care or senior living facility is a plus.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
Physical Requirements
- Ability to lift and move up to 50 pounds regularly.
- Frequent standing walking bending and reaching.
- Manual dexterity to perform essential care tasks.
- Ability to respond quickly in emergencies.
- Tolerance for extended periods of physical activity during a shift.
